 THE BEATITUDES ~ Matthew 5:3-10 ~ These words are anything but trivial, but blessed are you if you can complete each phrase. 1. Blessed are the poor in spirit, ------------------------------- 2. Blessed are those who mourn, ---------------------------------- 3. Blessed are the meek, ----------------------------------------- 4. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, ------------------------------------------------------ 5. Blessed are the merciful, ------------------------------------- 6. Blessed are the pure in heart, -------------------------------- 7. Blessed are the peacemakers, ---------------------------------- 8. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, ------------------------------------------------------  The Rest of the Beatitudes Verse 11: Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Verse 12: Rejoice, and be exceeding glad; for such is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
