Though dark the clouds may be today; His heart has planned your path and mine, Have faith in God, have faith always." The time is passing so quickly and it is hard to believe that it is already June. I would like to take this opportunity to thank so many that wrote and said they were praying for our ministry trip to India in January. We thank the Lord for His planning of all of the events from Kerala to the Orissa border we ministered two to three times daily. We were able to meet the pastors and see the fruit of their labour. They who have so little yet labour unceasingly for the kingdom of God. I will give a brief overview of the various locations: First we started in Chennai with Hallelujah Israel, whose family has been in the ministry for many years. Then we visited Kerala and were hosted by Joy Markose and family. His uncle A I Chacko passed away in November '09, so there are adjustments happening in that area. We had only left that area a few days and Joy's father A. I. Markose passed away. So many things to deal with and they need your prayers. We were greeted in Guntur and visited Chilakaluripet where we sponsor Mungama who has taken in 30 seniors. With the help of some business in the area she has purchased land and is building to give the people a permanent home. The building they are staying in is only rented which depletes the small amount of funds we send. Our next meetings were with the five pastors in Vijawada, one is a doctor and we visited his free clinic. Each meeting the building were full and many gathered outside and sometimes down the streets. Proceeding on to the Rajahmundry pastors where meetings varied such as meeting under a canopy on mats, to long country bumpy roads, we were always greeted with much enthusiasm, and gifts. We finished that area with a pastors meeting where 18 pastors gave testimonies of healing and deliverance, some to recommit their lives. All praise to Jesus! Next on the agenda was Vishakaputnam, all thanks to God for providing finances to build a new building in Arilova. When Evelyn and I had visited earlier you could see the sky through the roof. The pastor has a heart for children and that old building was full and overflowing. We are happy to say the new building was the same on dedication day. Jami celebrated their ten year anniversary, that pastor tends three congregations on his bike. The final week was amazing. The living conditions were very basic. Travelling to many mountain villages and also we held three major meetings with 400 - 600 in attendance. These amazing people walked 18 - 20 km, starting early in the morning and arriving for the meeting. This was the first time seeing white people for some of them. Richard thought they would not have a true perspective as both he and I are of the larger size. We ended with a meeting with 55 of the tribal pastors. Thank God for His amazing grace. We visited with some of the persecuted pastors who stated that their churches were burned and when they gathered to worship they were beaten by extreme Hindu's who want to see Orissa as the kingdom of Rama. They stated although they were fearful to worship they were ready to give up their souls. One person who died was not allowed to be buried in the village so they buried him on a hill. To come they come with bikes, motorbikes, rickshaws, walking and bus. We thank all who have taken time to pray, for your letters of encouragement and financial support. Presently we are supporting 20 pastors, Mungama and the seniors and also some orphan children taken in by one of the tribal pastors. We thank Evelyn who was faithful to fulfill the call that God put on her life as a young child. He who began a good work will be faithful to complete it. God truly has raised up these men to honour and glorify him. Please continue to remember the workers there in prayer. They have recently endured a cyclone and are rebuilding from that disaster. Genesis 39:3 And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand. Thank God for His provision for the many continued needs. May the Lord richly bless you! In His Service Evelyn & Faith Splane Please visit our website: Gospel of Christ Outreach
