“Remember not the former things; neither consider the things of old. Behold I will do a new thing; even now it will spring forth. I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:18, 19, 20. The Lord is building His church: it is to be a glorious church!
Greetings to our supporters and prayer partners. The pastors in East Godavary district, Andhra Pradesh, India, join us in thanking you for your continued interest in how the Lord is blessing their ministry. Christer, son of Pastor Rakshana, is a zealous and faithful worker and keeps us informed of the progress of the work.
Pastor Prasad reports: "Since that visit, the blessings have been on-going, extending to many non Christians: demons have been loosed; a chronic diseased person raised from the sick bed; a 14-year-old boy raised from a coma; barren women have become pregnant; a pregnant woman delivered her child without needing a Caesarian operation. One of the young students from our congregation is taking an engineering course. At college he started evangelism, trained 12 young students who now are reaching five places. The basic foundation for the work is through children--youth trained up with bold courage to reach villages, slums, and educate people with the word of God.”

Urgent need for a vehicle for Christer to get from place to place; busses do not go to these remote villages; bus service hours are too limited; renting a car each time is too costly. Christer reports: “We are working in East Godavari, Visakhapatnam and Vizayanagaram districts. We cover eight areas--nearly eighteen villages in Visak. In Vizayanagaram also we reach three villages. We are conducting gospel meetings to the Hindus, where there is no gospel and there is much anti-christianity. These are places full of witchcraft and prostitution. We are covering approximately four new villages a week. God is doing miracles, signs and wonders. He is strengthening our faith day by day."
Printing press: Some of these pastors have had very limited Biblical training. Pastor Rakshana has, over the years, prepared many excellent Bible Studies, hand-written in scribblers and stored away. Were these Bible studies printed out, they would be a great asset to the ministers. The cost of the printing is high, and funds are not available. Please pray with us about this potential ministry.
Work on the church at Arilova has begun. This is a big project but vital to the ministry there. Pastor Velari Prasad is very industrious and ready to make all sacrifices to see this project go forward. It will include three small rooms at the back to house the pastor’s family. This would eliminate the high house rent charges he now has to pay. This church construction is essential to save even the original structure on which the roof is collapsing and walls are in danger of being damaged further. The congregation is increasing so greatly that the people have to meet out in the compound or even on the street to accommodate the numbers. Floor plans for a new church has been drawn up.
