WELCOME: Introduction

BIO I am thankful to the Lord for my Christian parents who brought me up to love the Lord, and who taught me that there is no such thing as a second-generation Christian, but that everyone must personally accept Christ's gift of salvation, the shedding of His blood on Calvary. I gave my heart to the Lord at the age of eight.

My husband, Hart, and I celebrated our fiftieth wedding anniversary this year (2007), on August 24th. During our married lifetime we shared in the raising of many children, none of whom were born to us. I also worked with physically and mentally handicapped people, and have been caregiver for elderly relatives and friends. Now, however, I am enjoying life with Hart, our new dog, Corky. (Rocky died in November, '07. We adopted Corky from an animal rescue in December '07), and our five cats, Keeper, Casey, Ezee, Scooter,and Sparky. (All cast-offs or rescue cats.) A recent addition to our family is my older sister, Evelyn Splane, a retired missionary from India. We enjoy having her living with us.

Accomplishments: Besides having graduated from Bible college in Three Hills, Alberta, Canada, I have received certificates from two international writing courses, as well as from business college. Several of my poems, stories, pet articles, and Bible studies have been published in anthologies and local magazines and newspapers, and most recently, on-line. I have won several prizes for my poetry, and have written poems for special occasions. In 2005, my book, If You Only Knew! was published.

I have dedicated this website, "Occupy Till I Come" to God, and I do hope and pray that any and all who visit here, will be drawn closer to the Lord.  May God bless you and keep you in His care.  Amen.

Occupy until I come. Of this world, I've overcome.
Takes some strength, yes, it takes zeal. It takes passion,

Statement of Faith - I believe in:

* The only true and living God, infinite, eternal, unchangeable.
* The inspiration and final authority of the Scriptures--Old and New Testaments.
* The Virgin birth, and Deity of our Lord Jesus.
* The physical resurrection of Christ from the dead.
* The personality and Deity of the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Trinity.
* The personality of the Devil as the enemy of Christ, the saints, and the angels.
* The fall of man and the depravity of the human race.
* The guilty and lost condition of all humankind, outside of Christ.
* Salvation by faith through the substitutionary death of Jesus Christ.
* The infilling of the Holy Spirit for the child of God.
* Christian victory through faith in and obedience to Jesus Christ, under the Holy Spirit.
* The second premillennial coming of Christ.
* The physical resurrection of all men-believers to everlasting joy, the lost to everlasting conscious torment.
* The Church's sole business-shunning worldliness and looking for Christ's return-to spread the Gospel to all the world.
