God uses the heart his story to tell,
And by doing this we understand well,
The true meaning He wanted to show,
For the heart is on the inside, you know!

The love He gives us is sealed within,
It's power is there to overcome sin:
It's color is red, like the blood that was shed,
And reminds us, His Son suffered and bled!

We celebrate with banquets, socials and such,
An outward expression of a loving touch.
The heart being a symbol on Valentine's Day,
For with the heart we share our love, this way.

It is shaped like a circle. no end to be found,
With a dip at the top, then up and around.
Each side meeting the other to form a joint,
The two joined together becoming a point.

One side represents the Spirit Divine,
The other representing the heart of mankind.
So each Valentine's Day when you exchange paper hearts,
Remember the Saviour is where it all starts.
