Day Dream
I am dreaming of the day
When winter goes away
I shall sit beneath a tree
And let my thoughts roam free
I shall watch my flowers grow
Beneath sunshine’s warm glow
And soon I shall forget
All winter’s snow and wet
Dazzling colours fill
My eyes and heart with thrill
As I drink in summer’s gifts
As my spirit soars and lifts
Like a butterfly I’ll flit
Like a bee on petal sit
Smelling sweetness hour by hour
From every fragrant flower
Now I’ll know it will return
As the earth cold winter spurns
My garden of delights
With all its lovely sights
My dream reality be
For all who come to see.

God gave us spring
As a reminder of new life
Shed the old skin of sorrow
Put on new robes of life
Smile at the warm sunshine
That helps us grow anew
Makes us flower with love
To share with all mankind
So reach your arms to heaven
Embrace His loving touch
Enjoy his grace of spring
As you walk along tulip paths
And view the beauty given
From a loving Father to us.
