Lighthouse

John 8:12
Matthew. 5:16
KJV

A lighthouse sits on a hill with,
Its beams shining bright!
To lead safely those that sail,
Through darkness night!

It's light is never dim, it shines,
Forth though stormy years!
A haven of safety and peace,
To travel without fears!

Lord let me as the lighthouse,
Your light shine in me!
May others feel your comfort,
And Your love they see.

When others travel and pass by,
My way.
Let the beams of Your Holy light,
Guide, I pray.

When their trials come and the
Many storms too!
Shine brighter so they find a haven,
Of rest in You.

Like the lighthouse Lord please
Let your light always be.
Shining forth encouragement for,
Others to see!

That strength and rest is in the,
Mist of each dark night!
With their focus on You they,
Will find Your light.

Note: Usually I don't go to Sunday school have not for long time. But I had made 5 copies of the poem to share with some at the church service at 11 am. But long about 7 am something moved me to call for the ride to go to Sunday school. Guess what the lesson was on? Yes. The Lighthouse!. Wow! What a strange thing to happen and yes I shared the poem with the class.
