What Should I Fear

"Oh" Lord, what should I fear, as we walk
This path.
Should I fear evil with all its distrustful,
Wrath?
No! Lord, I do not fear; You protect me from
Daily harms.
You quiet my soul, holding me in your loving
Arms.

Can the enemy bring me down to the pits?
Of despair!
No, Lord your Word reminds me, your love
Is always there.
Should I fear death because it is unknown?
Its valley deep!
No Lord! I shall not fear death for Your love,
Leads Your sheep.

You have promised never to leave my side,
That You are always near.
Then why should I be shaken or what,
Need have I to fear!
I have your peace that the world can,
Never give.
I have all Your promises for each,
Day I live.

Fear is the opposite of faith and it does,
Not honor You.
I can simply walk with You in the safety,
Of your power too!
What should I fear? You are the Shepherd,
Of my earthly day!
Watching over me. Your rod and staff
Protects my way.

Lights Of Home

I can see the lights of home waiting there,
For me!
Though now with fleshly eyes it’s brightness,
I cannot see.

I know the lights of home are shining and,
Heaven is waiting there.
All my loved ones gone before me with,
His presence beyond compare!

I can see those lights of home as I travel this,
Journey below.
My heart knows it is waiting for me though now,
It's only a glow.

Yes, the lights of home is a warm glow within,
My heart.
Home waits with eager anticipation where,
Love ones never part.

The lights shine upon my daily path as on,
This narrow path I take.
Seeking to know our Master Jesus and to,
Keep living for His sake.

Each time I look and wonder; His precious love,
For me!
Again I am filled with awesome joy,
The lights of home shine for me!

Psalm 119:105; Revelation 21:23

His Sparrow

If He chooses to place you in a cage,
Then sing louder still,
If He has placed you there, it is
His will.
Though the light may change into night,
Sing with all your might.
Sing and sing of your love for the Master,
Let your voice sounding rings,
Sing, soul sings.
Let not your folded wings be a burden to
Thee.
For in time, when the Master is ready,
He will set you free.
He has placed you, where there is safety,
Much like the net.
His eyes are upon you; His love is there,
Don't forget.
You are like a sparrow, His hand gently
Placed you with care,
Sing, little sparrow, God is there.

The Senior Years

Father God, you have guided me through
The Childish years.
You came to my side, calmed me through
Youthful fears.
There are new challenges now lord,
I am in my Senior years,
There is allot I don't understand,
Some are new fears.

There is peace in my soul for I have seen,
Victories in my life's pages
In my senior years Lord, it seems I have,
Known You for ages.
You have been my comfort, strength all,
Through life's rugged ways.
You are awesome Lord! My praises will be,
Upon my lips, my remaining days.

I dedicate the rest of my senior years to proclaim,
Your love to all who will turn to You,
So some will follow, seeing Your faithfulness,
And give You praise and Glory too.
I offer you every fiber of my being a pleasing,
Sacrifice of committed love...
And cling to as a hand squeezed into a tightly,
Fitted glove.

Until my breath is gone and my earthly,
Life is no more,
Then I stand at heavens gate, finally home,
At eternity's door.
I shall not see death, only Your sweet rest.
Beginning of life is sweet, but home with You,
Will be the best.

Looking For Jesus

I decided to look for Jesus,
Was determined to look everywhere.
I went to the local Church; Yes He
Was found there.

I stood aside to watch, that I might,
Follow next where He'd go.
Then silently we walked down the street,
He seemed in a hurry so.

He walked into the alley where those who,
Slept there...
The stink and filth, and garbage laying,
Amuck everywhere.

He touched each one, He told of His,
Accepting love and grace.
He spoke so tenderly, and you could see,
His love upon His face.

Then I followed Him around the corner,
To a noisy place.
The smell was a bad as the first I did not...
Understand nor see His face.

He went in; placed His nail scarred hand,
Upon a man sitting there.
The atmosphere changed, silence flowed,
In that place everywhere.

He lingered for such a long time, then I saw,
A tear in His eye...
When someone; touched by His words,
Said" Master I am glad you stopped by."

I was surprised as I followed Him,
To places I never thought He'd go.
Especially those dark and dreary spots,
I thought He hated so.

Yes, we went to the sick and dying,
The hungry, and where they would be.
Seeking, touching and praying with them,
A saying; "Come follow me"

I found Jesus that day, not just praying,
For the wayward soul.
He surprised me when He took off,
His robe and sandals...
Said; “Now child go.”

Things Will Never Be The Same

In the garden Adam and Eve listened to
Satan, their wish granted.
Tossed from the Garden the seed was
Planted,
Satan was to blame.
Things will never be the same.

Sin broke their fellowship, it was so
Plain to see!
Death was now planted into all souls
Of men, you and me.

Jesus came, born of a Virgin a Holy
Birth.
He came from Heavens throne, to
Live upon earth.
Bringing to us Glory's fame.
Things will never be the same.

He preached His Kingdom the reason
Of Grace He came.
Sharing the message of Love and
Forgiveness, things are not the same!

Those who hated Him mocked
And cried!
They nailed Him to the cross, where
He suffered and died.

The story did not end for He rose
Out of the grave.
Many now are set free, accepting His
Mercy He gave.

Eternal life is now given to all who will
Receive.
His forgiveness to all who will repent
And believe.

Satan’s lies are told every day his
Deception is the blame.
Resist his words, don’t listen, and
Your life will never be the same!

He's Alive

He's alive, Jesus is alive! Please
Tell me where He lives.
I want to meet Him, I need the love,
You say He gives.

I am lonely, does He care if I feel
Alone and blue?
Where is Jesus, show me so I can
Love Him too.

Does He live in a place down the,
Road?
"Take me there please," my burden
Is such a heavy load.

He's alive, if so bid me come to sit,
At His feet.
I hear about Jesus, and it's
Him I want to meet.

I am not worthy, my life is a...
Life of sin.
Please take me to Jesus if He's
Alive walking among men.

I have met many that say He is alive,
He is not dead.
If so, where is His Love that came,
To save me from Hell's dread.

He's alive, and it's hard to believe,
It's true.
If I can't find Jesus, or see Him living,
Through you.

If He is really alive and walking this
World today.
Living inside those that have chosen,
The narrow way.

Please show me Jesus, I know He seeks,
The lost, and sinful man.
Show me the heart of Jesus and His,
Nail scarred hand,

Lead me to Him, I need Him now, and upon,
My knees I will bow.

Temptation: Satan's lure

A kiss on the cheek with a lie from hell,
He stood along side bidding me well.
His tempting smile said sin was ok, and lured me in,
I slept on the lap of sin.
The stranger comes when we are weak,
seeks those to lure and softly speak.
Don't listen and please turn away.
Don't sleep in the lap of your enemy today!
Anything that is not of God is the enemy,
Beware and awake!
Your very soul and destiny is at stake.
Satan lies and waits for you to be deceived,
He caused Adam and Eve to sin, they believed!
We have victory over deception the pleasures of sin.
By trusting the power of God, then not inviting the enemy in.
