Evening Peace
Dusk falls like a curtain
At the ending of the day.
The sun is slowly sinking,
As night is on its way.
The wind sighs in the trees
As birds take homeward flight,
And God seems so much closer,
When day has turned to night.
There is a sense of stillness
As the stars begin to shine,
A feeling deep within one,
That brings a peace Divine.
As we reflect upon God's love
Our fears all fade away.
We know He's still beside us
When tired eyes close to the day.

When God Draws Close
In the still hours of the night
When all the world is sleeping,
Many souls are in despair,
In the darkness softly weeping.
Some are gripped by loneliness,
Missing loved ones gone.
Life doesn't seem worth living,
It's a struggle to carry on.
Others are fighting harsh pain,
Crying out for relief;
They try to keep on praying
But it's hard to hold on to belief.
Yet it's in the darkest hours
Until the morning light,
God draws close to those who suffer
In the stillness of the night.
He longs to give them comfort,
Take every pain away,
Enfolds them in His loving arms
Until the night turns into day.

Wondrous World
Never take for granted
The beauty all around.
The early morning sunrise;
The dew upon the ground.
Never cease to marvel
At the wonder of all things,
The dancing butterflies
And birds on soaring wings.
The miracles of nature
Surround us each new day;
The perfume of the flowers;
The sweet smell of new mown hay.
Remember God our Father
The creator of all things,
Ponder on His mighty power
And enjoy the gifts he brings.
