ALL HAIL TO THE KING
by Helen Dowd

All Hail To The King is an account of the last days of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  In the following seventeen chapters, and conclusion, of the series, I have tried to tell the story as a I would have seen it unfold, had I been there with Christ on His painful journey.

Walk with me. Be among the crowd for His triumphal entrance into Jerusalem. Take a peek into the upper room where the disciples and Jesus gather for the Last Supper. Walk along to the Garden where Jesus prays His agonizing prayer. Feel the pain with Christ as He witnesses His friend betray Him. Sit in on the mock trial where Jesus isfalsely accused. Observe the disciples, as one by one they slink away, leaving Jesus all alone. Sit in the room with Peter as he blatantly denies his Lord. Weep with him as he repents, after hearing the cock crow. Feel Jesus' look of forgiveness as He looks at Peter. Enter into the courts of Pilate. Watch what he does to get out of taking the blame for condemning Christ. Agonize with Jesus as He walks the path to Calvary. Feel the excruciating pain of those who love Him as they see their Lord, Master, Son, Friend nailed to the cross. Weep with the woman - and Mary. Keep walking. Keep watching. Wait! Watch what happens next! Be with the disciples and the women as each one realizes that Christ really is alive. Be there when He appears to them on several occasions. Peek in on the scene when Thomas believes. Watch, as the Lord prepares a meal for discouraged disciples on the shore. Listen as Christ commissions His beloved friends to wait for the Comforter - The Holy Spirit. Stare with the disciples into the clouds as they watch the Lord ascend into heaven.

My prayer is that you will be filled with joy as you read. I am, every time I read the story of Christ's Last Days. All Hail to the King!
